A portion of the old U.S. Highway 65 bridge at Waverly lays in the Missouri River after demolition crews set off a round of explosives just after 8 a.m. Monday morning. Two other segments of the bridge remain standing. They will be demolished at a later date, after workers have cleared the rubble from Monday's blasting.
