Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 25, at First United Methodist Church in Marshall. Rev. Dave Huck will officiate. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 24, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Saline County. Memorials are suggested to the Missouri River Chapter of the American Red Cross or Mt. Carmel Cemetery Association.
Born July 22, 1928, in Saline County, he was the son of the late Theodore W. and Mabel Scott Harvey. On June 26, 1949, in Bosworth, he married Anna Mary Wilhelm, who survives of the home. He was a 1946 graduate of Marshall High School and attended the University of Missouri-Columbia for two years. He received the American Farmer Degree in FFA. He farmed for 55 years, five years in Chariton County and 50 years in Saline County. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Methodist Church, where he served for many years as superintendent, and was later a member of First United Methodist Church of Marshall, where he was a trustee. He was a member of the Miami school board for 15 years, president of the Saline County Fair Board, president and lifetime member of the Saline County Cattlemen's Association and president and lifetime member of the Missouri Cattlemen's Association. He was a life member and had served on the Board of Directors of the National Cattlemen's Association.
Additional survivors include four sons, Jack Wilhelm Harvey and wife Bonnie of Marshall, Harold Scott Harvey and wife Beth of Deerfield, Ill., David Mark Harvey and wife Dianne of rural Malta Bend and Hugh Craig Harvey and wife Angela of Marshall; 10 grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann Harvey, Daniel Jack Harvey, Houston Scott Harvey, Laurabeth E. Harvey, Jillian Harvey, Zachary Harvey, Kendall Harvey, Kaleb Harvey, Erin Harvey and Emily Harvey; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Laura Evelyn Hathaway.
