John Eric Camp, 52, of Higginsville, died Saturday, April 16, 2005, in Higginsville.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 20, at Kaiser-Wiegers Funeral Home in Higginsville. Rev. George Sample will officiate. Music will be "On the Turning Away" by Pink Floyd. Kassandra Sommerville will recite "The Charge of the Light Brigade." Richard Crone will lead prayer. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, at the funeral home. Born Oct. 4, 1953, in Lexington, he was the son of the late Charles Eugene Camp and Irma Johanna Heimsoth, who survives of Blackburn. On Feb. 14, 1982, in Concordia, he married Debbie Lee Frerking, who survives of the home. He was a member of the American Bow Association and the National Rifle Association and worked as a general contractor.
Additional survivors include two sons, Aric Camp of Corder and Kristopher Camp of the home; two daughters, Jessica and Samantha Camp, both of the home; four sisters, June Purdy of Blackburn, Christine Fish of Charleston, S.C., Cathy Poe of Blackburn and Melissa Madison of Waverly; and two brothers, Bill Camp of Mayview and Robbie Camp of Higginsville.
