John Tom Davis, 52, of rural Miami, died Monday, April 18, 2005, at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 21, at Miami Cemetery. Rev. Jess Spurgin will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jerry D. Davis, Stewart Blessing, Roger Crank, John Roe, Walter "Jim" Taylor, Brent Narron, Russell Cooksey and Larry Holland. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Joe Narron and Wesley Winfrey. Friends may call until 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to Miami Cemetery or Fairville-Reynolds 4-H Club.
Born Sept. 22, 1952, in Marshall, he was the son of the late John Dunlap Davis Jr. and Marjorie Ann Scott Davis, who survives of the home. He had lived in the Miami area his entire life and was a farmer.
Additional survivors include one brother, Jerry D. Davis and wife Kimberly of rural Miami; one sister, Carolyn Taylor and husband Walter "Jim" of rural Miami; two nieces, Waltedda Taylor Blessing and Nichole Davis; two nephews, J.W. Davis and Jacob Davis; and one great-niece, Morgan Taylor Blessing.
