Jeanelle L. Brown, 78, of Marshall, died Sunday, April 17, 2005, in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 19, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Marshall. Father Kevin Gormley will officiate. Prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, April 18, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to St. Peter Catholic Church.
Born Feb. 13, 1927, in Clifton City, she was the daughter of the late Henry Wittman and Mary Theresa Lorenz Wittman. On Sept. 21, 1946, she married William J. "Bill" Brown, who preceded her in death Sept. 6, 1991. She had lived in Marshall most of her life and was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and its Altar and Rosary Society. She was a USDA inspector at Kraft Foods and had also worked at Lake City Arsenal and the Saline County Reassessment Office.
Survivors include one daughter, Beverly Rasse and husband Louis of Marshall; twin sister, Jeanette Thomas and husband John L. of Marshall; two grandsons, Chad Maupin and wife Rendy, and Troy Maupin and wife Karen, all of Marshall; five great-grandsons, Derek Barr, Alex Maupin, Brett Maupin, Zach Maupin and Grant Maupin; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Herbert Wittman and John Wittman; and one sister, Mary Kathryn Gumm.
