Margaret F. Shaver, 84, of Marshall, died Tuesday, April 12, 2005, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 15, 2005, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Rev. Wayne Doolin will officiate. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 14, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to the Missouri Association for the Deaf.
Born Feb. 16, 1921, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late Carl Lacy and Mary Ann Bray Lacy. On Sept. 3, 1943, she married Francis P. Shaver, who preceded her in death Sept. 9, 1984. She had lived in Marshall most of her life and also lived in Fulton. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school using sign language. She was a member of the Missouri Association of the Deaf.
Survivors include two sons, Larry W. Shaver Sr. and wife Juanita of Phoenix, Ariz., and Jerry L. Shaver and wife Janie of Marshall; one sister, Mae Belle McGraw of Marshall; four grandchildren, Larry W. Shaver Jr., Christopher Shaver, Jeff Shaver and Jennifer Shaver; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a twin brother in infancy and one sister, Mary Louise Bramble.
