Doris Mae Cook, 81, of Marshall, died Monday, April 11, 2005, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 15, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. William W. Harlow will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 14, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will be in Englewood Cemetery in Clinton. Memorials are suggested to Fitzgibbon-Mary Montgomery Hospice.
Born July 24, 1923, in Independence, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Alvin Brimmer and Etta Clossin Brimmer. She married Otis Cook, who preceded her in death in 1973. She had lived in Marshall since 1970 and had worked at ConAgra in Marshall nearly 20 years, retiring in 1989. She was a Methodist.
Survivors include two daughters, Shirley King of Centralia and Linda McIntyre of Marshall; two sons, Russell Duane Harry of Pembroke, Ky., and Earl "Butch" Harry of New Frankfort; one brother, Alfred Brimmer of East Dubuque, Ill.; one sister, Hazel Brach of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Delbert Harry; one sister and one brother.
