Thelma A. Hershberger, 98, of Marshall, died Wednesday, April 6, 2005, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 9, at Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. William W. Harlow will officiate. Friends may call until 5 p.m. Friday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Marshall Senior Center.
Born Nov. 12, 1906, in the state of Kansas, she was the daughter of the late Faye and Lena Hoffsette Perine. She married Glenn Hershberger, who preceded her in death in 1964. She had lived in Marshall since the 1940s and was a beautician for many years. She was a graduate of Wamego High School and Topeka Beauty College. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Marshall and was active in the Marshall Senior Center.
Survivors include one sister-in-law, Freda M. Perine of Marshall; three nieces, Norma Falwell of Overland Park, Kan., Kay Elbik of San Diego, Calif., and Sharon Maddex of Cole Camp; six great-nephews and three great-nieces.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Leo F. Perine and Kenneth "K.D." Perine.
