Vinnie B. Butler, 62, of Marshall, died Monday, April 4, 2005, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 8, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Marshall. Rev. John Brown will officiate. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 7, at H.T. May and Son Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Marshall.
Born July 10, 1942, in Marshall, she was the daughter of the late Sterling Bruner and Sylvia Watson Brown. She married Terry L. Butler, who survives of the home. She was a member of Handy Chapel A.M.E. Church in Marshall. She worked for over 35 years at ConAgra in Marshall, where she was a member of UFCW Local No. 2 meat cutters union.
Additional survivors include one son, James Baker of Marshall; five daughters, Virginia Buford of Marshall, Mary Ann Henderson of St. Paul, Minn., Bobbie Williams of Buford, S.C., Felicia Pilats and husband Christopher of Buford; and Daneesha Butler of Fort Arthur, Texas; one brother, John Bell of Marshall; and four sisters, Beverly Crump of Marshall, Bobbie Grimes of Marshall, Gertrude Gant of Kansas City and Mary Alexander of Carrolton.
