Mattie Mead

Mattie Mead, 108, of Marshall, died Monday, April 4, 2005, at The Living Center in Marshall.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 7, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Marshall. Rev. L.B.S. Groves will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at H.T. May and Son Funeral Home in Marshall, and from noon until 2 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Marshall.

Born Aug. 24, 1896, in Slater, she was the daughter of the late Monroe and Alice Mead. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.

Survivors include several cousins.
