Emma Pope

Wednesday, April 6, 2005
Emma Pope, 94, of Edina, Minn., formerly of Marshall, went to heaven on April 4, 2005. Known as "Gammie," she was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a loyal friend, and she was an optimistic, faith-filled lady who inspired those around her.

In heaven, she is re-united with her loving husband, Louis. Emma and Louis were active members of the Methodist church in Marshall. She leaves behind a family who will miss her terribly but have a lifetime of memories of her loving presence: One daughter, Pat McNamara and husband Bob; one son, Jeff Pope and wife Suzanne; five grandchildren, Brent McNamara and wife Danita, Brad McNamara and wife Amy, Blair McNamara and wife Michelle, Julie Steele and husband Jeff and Chris Pope and wife Kathy; and 13 great-grandchildren who were her pride and joy.

Memorial service will be Thursday, April 14, at 2 p.m. at Colonial Church, 6200 Colonial Way, Edina, MN. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be sent to either Urban Youth Life Camp Scholarships, 750-2nd Street NE, Suite 142, Hopkins, MN 55343 or Youth Frontiers, 6009 Excelsior Boulevard, Minneapolis, MN 55416.

The above is a paid obituary.
