Doris E. Riley, 86, of Marshall, died Thursday, March 31, 2005, at The Living Center in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 2, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Pallbearers will be Wayne Pabst, Joshua Pabst, Robert Gooch, Nicholas Gooch, Adam Gooch and David Gooch. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to Alzheimer's Association.
Born July 4, 1918, near Purdin, she was the daughter of the late Willard Pulliam and Susan Emily McCollum Pulliam. In August 1935, she married Charles Glenn Gooch, who preceded her in death. On June 29, 1956, she married James E. Riley, who survives. After retiring from their jobs in Kansas City, the couple moved to Phoenix, Ariz., where they lived for 20 years. They moved to Marshall in 1998.
Additional survivors include one daughter, Barbara Gooch Lynch and husband Bill of Versailles; two sons, Gary Gooch and wife Elaine of Parkville and Ed Gooch and wife Janet of Blue Springs; two stepsons, Jimmy Riley and wife Jane of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Bob Riley and wife Pam of Lake Houston; 14 grandchildren, including Kathy Pabst of Marshall; 21 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and first husband, she was preceded in death by eight sisters, three brothers, two half-brothers, one half-sister and one great-granddaughter.
