Ella May Holland Sawyers, 82, of Oak Grove, formerly of Saline County, died Friday, March 25, 2005, at St. Mary's Hospital in Blue Springs.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.

Born Dec. 16, 1922, in Saline County, she was the daughter of the late Jacob Chandler Malloy and Gladys Scharnhorst Malloy. On May 2, 1938, in Knob Noster, she married Kenneth Alonzo Holland Sr., who preceded her in death Oct. 7, 1973. She then married Cecil L. Sawyers, who preceded her in death Dec. 24, 1974. She had lived in Oak Grove the past five years, moving from Warsaw. She and her husband owned and operated Holland's Restaurant in Sweet Springs. She retired from McGraw-Edison in Boonville and was a homemaker. She was a Christian.

Survivors include three sons, Larry E. Holland of Sweet Springs, Gerald Ray Holland of Grain Valley and Kenneth Alonzo Holland Jr. of Bolivar; two daughters, Barbara Ann Buchanan of Pomme de Terre and Gladys Holland Douglas of Boonville; one brother, Sterling Price Malloy of Branson; 18 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Nancy Louise Holland and LaVerna Mae Holland Nichols; twin great-grandsons; one half-brother and one half-sister.
