Olive Arment Eales, 89, of Hannibal, formerly of Marshall, died Friday, March 25, 2005, at Willow Care Center in Hannibal.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 28, at Smith Funeral Chapel in Hannibal. Rev. Tom Day will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, March 27, at Smith Funeral Home and Chapel in Hannibal. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hannibal. Memorials are suggested to the family's choice in care of Smith Funeral Home, 2619 Saint Mary's Ave., Hannibal, MO, 63401.
Born July 21, 1915, in Elmer, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Blanche Baker Arment. On June 30, 1938, she married Kenneth Eales, who preceded her in death in 1970. She lived in Marshall from 1968 until 2000, and worked as bookkeeper and office manager for MFA Livestock in Marshall until her retirement in 1981. She was a Baptist.
Survivors include one daughter, Linda Rice and husband Glenn of Hannibal; one daughter-in-law, Carolyn Eales of Marshall; two sisters, Ureba Sullivan of Marshall and Vera Truitt of Bakersfield, Calif.; and one grandson, Shawn Eales.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Dale Eales; and three sisters, Hazel Mathison, Ruby Lampson and Iris Harsh.
