DeWayne C. Keys, 64, of Nelson, died Saturday, March 19, 2005, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.

Cremation. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 2, at Nelson Baptist Church in Nelson. Rev. Phil Soto will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Sweeney-Reser-Wills Funeral Home in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to Nelson Baptist Church Building Fund in care of Sweeney-Reser-Wills Funeral Home.

Born April 19, 1940, in Tompkinsville, Ky., he was the son of the late Wortle Keys and Pauline Davis Keys Spinner. On April 20, 1991, in Nelson, he married Judy K. Anderson, who survives of the home. He was a resident of Nelson for most of his life and was an over-the-road truck driver for many years. He had driven for Christian Transporation and recently for Gencom, Inc., in Marshall. He was a member of the Freedom of the Road Riders Chapter 39 of Marshall.

Additional survivors include two stepsons, Terry Lynn Gonzales of Wink, Texas, and Robert Gonzales Jr. of Temple, Texas; one stepdaughter, Wendy D. Fox of Forrest City; one sister, Cleda Corin of Hanahan, S.C.; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Jessie Walker.
