David Lee Hostetter, 69, of Waverly, died Monday, March 21, 2005, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, March 24, at Gibson Funeral Home in Waverly. Rev. Jerry Curry will officiate. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Waverly Cemetery in Waverly. Memorials are suggested to the family's choice in care of Gibson Funeral Home, 201 S. Main, Carrollton, MO 64633.
Born July 21, 1935, in Waverly, he was the son of the late Manuel and Sara Jane Markley Hostetter. On March 24, 1974, in Marshall, he married Priscilla M. Smith, who survives of the home. He attended schools in Waverly and Grand Pass. He had worked in construction and as a meat cutter.
Additional survivors include five children, Pamela J. Wells of Bosworth, James David Hostetter of Coloma, Billy H. Hostetter of Marshall, Darcy D. Jones of Sedalia and P.J. Riggins of Columbia; one stepson, Gale Hardwick of Marshall; two brothers, Jack Hostetter and Robert Hostetter, both of Waverly; three sisters, Helen McQuillian of Festus, June Webb of Ludlow and Judy Hostetter of Marshall; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Leroy Hostetter; and one sister, Carolyn Jones.
