Huston Duncan, 81, of Charleston, S.C., formerly of Marshall, died Sunday, March 20, 2005, at Carolina Memorial Hospital in Charleston.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home in Charleston. Memorials are suggested to the Leukemia Foundation or the charity of donor's choice in care of Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, 7113 Rivers Ave., Charleston, SC, 29406.
Born Aug. 20, 1923, in Marshall, he was the son of the late Joseph Duncan and Quillia Burnett Duncan. On June 26, 1948, he married Joan Daugher, who preceded him in death May 18, 2004. He was raised in Marshall and had lived most of his life in Charleston. He was a graduate of Marshall High School and was a retired electrician. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include two daughters, Judy Peper of Charleston and Linda Whitley of Seminole, Fla.; one son, William Duncan of Greenville, S.C.; two sisters, Margaret Cromley and Nellie Little, both of Marshall; one brother, Bob Duncan of Sedalia; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
