Charles E. "Chuck" McKinley, 25, of Sweet Springs, died Wednesday, March 9, 2005, in Sweet Springs.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 12, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Sweet Springs. William W. Harlow will officiate. Friends may call after 5 p.m. Friday, March 11, at the funeral home. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Sweet Springs. Memorials are suggested to the family's choice.
Born Oct. 31, 1979, in Independence, he was the son of Michael N. McKinley Sr., who survives of Bessemer, Ala., and Audrey Williams Meador, who survives of Sweet Springs. On Oct. 5, 2002, he married Melissa Tieman, who survives. He had lived in Sweet Springs most of his life and was a 1998 graduate of Sweet Springs High School. He received an associate's degree from Ozark Technical College in Springfield. He was a welding supervisor for Greg Guier in Sweet Springs. He was a member of RLDS church.
Additional survivors include one son, Logan Reece McKinley; one daughter, Lydia Mae McKinley; three brothers, Joey Marts of Wyandotte County, Kansas, Michael N. McKinley Jr. of Colorado Springs, Colo., and John R. Marts Jr. of Sweet Springs; four grandparents; three nieces and four nephews.
He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Von Meador.
