Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 5, at Knob Hill Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens in Oklahoma City. Arrangements are under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home in Oklahoma City.
Born March 13, 1917, in Alamon, he was the son of the late Floyd and Dora E. Parker Green. He married Helen Beard, who preceded him in death in 1992. He joined the U.S. Army in 1941, serving during World War II. He was held as a prisoner of war in Germany before the end of the war. He moved to Oklahoma City in 1959, moving from Kansas City. He was employed by the Federal Aviation Administration for 35 years before his retirement. His hobbies included fishing, hunting, camping, gardening and sports. He was a charter member of Knob Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Donna Quigel and husband Ron of Oklahoma City; two sons, Gary Green and wife Glenda of Sulphur, Okla., and Ronald Green of Oklahoma City, Okla.; two brothers, Bill Green of Kansas City and Floyd Green of Warsaw; one sister, Emma Lajune Parker of Grain Valley; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and other relatives.
