Arnold C. Borgman, 90, of Saline City, died Monday, Feb. 28, 2005, at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 3, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Saline City. Rev. Mark Hass will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Saline City. Memorials are suggested to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or the charity of donor's choice.
Born Oct. 17, 1914, in Saline County, he was the son of the late Albert F. Borgman and Anna Bender Borgman. On July 31, 1938, he married Helen Edna Linneman, who survives of the home. He had lived in the Saline City community his entire life and was a farmer. He was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, where he served in numerous positions. He had been on the board of directors for Central Missouri Electric Cooperation for 36 years and also served on the local school board.
Additional survivors include one son, Donald Borgman of Saline City; one daughter, Emily Bird of Saline City; one brother, Edwin Borgman of Independence; one granddaughter; two stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren; six stepgreat-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.
