Ethanol producer MME holds second annual meeting

Ryland Utlaut, Mid-Missouri Energy Inc. board president, talks with some of MME's 729 farmer investors at the company's annual meeting in Malta Bend Saturday. The company has just begun to produce ethanol, loading its first railcars with the renewable fuel Tuesday, Feb. 22. Five members were elected to the group's 15-member board at the meeting. Each will serve a three-year term.
