Patricia A. Cobb, 56, of Gilliam, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2005, at Shawnee Mission Medical Center in Shawnee Mission, Kan.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 28, at Gilliam Cemetery. Rev. Lynn Snapp officiated. Pallbearers were Brian Norris, Travis Norris, William Norris II, Michael Green, Thomas Green and Brent Young. Honorary pallbearers were Jason Cooper, Bryce Young, Maddison Brown, John Hillebrand and Billy Summers. Memorials are suggested to the Slater Public Library in care of Weiker Funeral Home in Slater.
Born Sept. 28, 1948, in Millington, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Harold L. Norris and Willie Thomas Norris, who survives of Slater. On Feb. 14, 1970, in Gilliam, she married Herbert R. "Butch" Cobb, who survives of the home. She was a member of Slater United Methodist Church and was employed as a sewing machine operator at BHA, Inc., in Slater the past eight years.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Becky Bare of Mission Hills, Kan., and Karen Young of Chillicothe; two brothers, Galen T. Norris of Slater and William D. Norris of Gilliam; one sister, Dorothy Green of Blackwater; and two grandchildren, Maddison Brown and Bryce Young.
