Dorothy Wells Wallace, 94, of Blue Springs, formerly of Slater, died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2005, at St. Mary's Hospital in Blue Springs.
Cremation. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
Born Feb. 13, 1911, in Rome, Miss., she was the daughter of the late William A. and Ora Jane Gamble Wells. On Aug. 9, 1930, in Crossett, Ark., she married Harry Wallace, who preceded her in death. She lived in Slater until 1974, then moved to Blue Springs. She was a past worthy matron of the Order of the Eastern Star No. 67 in Slater, past district deputy grand matron for the 24th District and a member of Blue Springs Chapter No. 428. She was a member of Blue Springs Christian Church in Blue Springs.
Survivors include one daughter, Helen Wallace Shepard of Cape Coral, Fla.; four grandsons; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Betty Wallace Blackwell; two sisters; three brothers and one grandson.
