Top: Stacey Robb of the University of Missouri Extension teaches nutrition and shares healthy snacks provided by Fitzgibbon Hospital with Holly Morris's first grade class as part of a health fair at Benton Elementary School. Kindergarteners and first-graders from Benton participated in the event during their physical education class, as well as the first grade class from St. Peter School.

Below: Cassie Seals of Mid-Missouri Dental Management, a division of Missouri Care, shares dental hygiene tips with students. The annual event is held every year in February in conjunction with National Children's Dental Health Month.

School nurse and one of the organizers of the event, Laura Stewart, said she had been working at the school for six years, and they had held the health fair every year. "It's a lot of fun," said Stewart. "It's a lot of work, but it's worth it."

Others helping with the event included organizer Val Rimmer, physical education teacher; Stacey Lueck and Sara Brennan, parent volunteers; and donations from Proctor and Gamble, Colgate and local dentists Jerry Kelly and Paul Thompson.
