Bob M. Martin, 81, of Sedalia, died Monday, Jan. 31, 2005, at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, at First Christian Church in Sedalia. Rev. Russell Willoughby and Rev. Susan Barton will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4, at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel in Sedalia. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 6, in Calhoun Cemetery in Calhoun. Memorials are suggested to Mid-Missouri Humane Society in Sedalia in care of McLaughlin Funeral Chapel, 519 S. Ohio, Sedalia, MO, 65301.
Born May 22, 1923, in Calhoun, he was the son of the late Ray and Jessie Margaret Weiden Martin. On Dec. 6, 1947, in Windsor, he married Mary Jo Marshall, who survives of the home. He was raised and educated in Calhoun. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and worked selling farm equipment for many years, then working in industrial equipment sales. He was a member of First Christian Church in Sedalia.
Additional survivors include one son, Michael Martin of Los Angeles, Calif.; two daughters, Karen Siegel of Dallas, Texas, and Debbie Rucker of Marshall; and four grandchildren.
