Judith A. Franklin, 66, of Kansas City, died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2005, at her home.
Cremation. Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2, at Highland Park Funeral Home in Kansas City. Arrangements are in the care of Highland Park Funeral Home, 41st and State Avenue, Kansas City, KS., 66102.
Born April 20, 1938, in Buffalo, she was the daughter of the late John W. Ford and Thelma B. Reeves Ford. She had lived in Kansas City for the past 16 years, moving from Independence. She had owned and operated a residential cleaning company for 10 years and had worked for Argosy Casino for seven years. Prior to that, she was a store manager for the Safeway Grocery chain.
Survivors include one son, Michael Blackwell of Pleasant Hill; one daughter, Debbie Embrock of Grain Valley; two brothers, Jack Ford of the state of Indiana and J.W. "Dub" Ford of Marshall; two sisters, Geraldine "Sue" Plummer of Marshall and Flora Mae Sprig of Hermitage; and four grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Ford.
