John Mark Clemons, 46, of Greenwood, formerly of Marshall, died Thursday, Jan. 27, 2005, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 30, at First Christian Church in Marshall. There will be no visitation. Friends may call from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to the Saline Animal League.
Born Nov. 6, 1958, in Marshall, he was the son of Cecil R. Clemons Jr., who survives of Nashville, Tenn., and Nelda E. Piper Clemons, who survives of Marshall. He had lived in Greenwood since 2004, moving from Marshall, and had worked at Superior Lexus in Kansas City. He was a 1977 graduate of Marshall High School and a graduate of Missouri Valley College in Marshall. He was a member of First Baptist Church. His hobbies included fishing, antiques and music.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Channing Clemons of McLouth, Kan., and Lacey Clemons Riley of Marshall; one son, Sammy Michael Clemons of Jefferson City; one brother, Michael R. Clemons and wife Julie Ann of Marshall; one sister, Kim Mapes and husband Don of Champaign, Ill.; four nephews, Mark Clemons, Nolan Clemons, Trey Clemons and Connor Mapes; one niece, McKenna Mapes; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
