Louise Weldon, 85, of Grandview, a former Marshall resident, died Friday, Jan. 21, 2005, at Life Care Center in Grandview.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 25, at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Marshall. Rev. Mike Knight will officiate. Pallbearers will be Randy Haberle, Dawn Thornton, Kyle Welson and Lee Weldon. John Tootle will play "Amazing Grace" on the bagpipes. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Sweeney-Reser-Wills Funeral Home in Marshall.
Born Nov. 19, 1919, in Oak Grove, Ark., she was the daughter of the late James W. Gregory and Audie Dyer Gregory. On Nov. 13, 1937, in Van Buren, Ark., she married Herbert L. Weldon, who preceded her in death May 31, 1983. She had lived in Kansas City, Kan., from 1960 to 1976, where she had been employed in the furniture department at the Mongomery Ward store in the Ward Parkway Shopping Center. She had lived in Marshall from 1976 until 1999, when she moved to Grandview due to her health. She was a member of the Presbyterian church in Van Buren, Ark.
Survivors include one son, Herbert W. Weldon of Grandview; three brothers, Burl Gregory of Riverside, Calif., Earl Gregory of Apollo Beach, Fla., and Drew Gregory of Redondo Beach, Calif.; one sister, Barbara Shinn of Bull Head City, Ariz.; three grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
