Janice Lee Leimkuehler, 71, of rural Slater, died Sunday, Jan. 16, 2005, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 19, at Salem United Church of Christ in Saline County. William W. Harlow will officiate. Pallbearers will be Bobby Thomason, Charles Thomason, Ronnie Leimkuehler, Bill Leimkuehler, Kenny Leimkuehler and Jimmy Leimkuehler. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will be in Salem United Church of Christ Cemetery. Memorial are suggested to the family's choice.
Born Sept. 12, 1933, in Slater, she was the daughter of the late Linwood Shepard and Nannie Tuggle Shepard. On Jan. 4, 1953, she married Donald Lee Leimkuehler, who survives of the home. She had lived in Saline County her entire life and was a 1952 graduate of Slater High School. She had worked at Town & Country Shoe Factory in Slater and was a homemaker. She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ in Saline County.
Additional survivors include one daughter, Barbara Leimkuehler of Slater; one son, Paul Leimkuehler of Marshall; three grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Mary Ann Leimkuehler.
