James A. Butler, 60, of Nelson, died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2005, at his home.
Cremation. Memorial services will be held at noon Saturday, Jan. 8, at Mt. Calvary Freewill Baptist Church in Marshall. Rev. Lawrence Butler will officiate. Services are under the direction of H.T. May and Son Funeral Home in Marshall.
Born Oct. 4, 1944, in Nelson, he was the son of the late Richard and Ella Mornett Williams Butler. He attended Blackwater Public School and worked at Marshall Habilitation Center.
Survivors include three brothers, Robert Butler of Kansas City, Terry L. Butler of Marshall, and Rev. Lawrence J. Butler of Marshall; and one sister, Mary L. Wright of Marshall.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers.
