Lynette M. Robb, 93, of Marshall, died Sunday, Dec. 26, 2004, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Rev. Douglas A. Dubisar will officiate. Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church Building Fund or the charity of donor's choice.
Born Feb. 27, 1911, in Waverly, she was the daughter of the late Julius R. Kappelman and Clara E. Schowe Kappelman. She married Frederick Dieckhoff, who was killed in action on Feb. 6, 1945, in World War II. On Aug. 18, 1954, she married James F. Robb, who preceded her in death on Aug. 7, 1993. She was christened and confirmed in the Lutheran church in Waverly. She attended the Lutheran parochial school, Hazel Hill School, graduated from Waverly High School and attended Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg. She had lived in Marshall since 1941, moving from Waverly. She was a member and organist at Hazel Hill Church for several years and taught music lessons to many students. She later became a member and organist at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Marshall.
Survivors include two sisters-in-law, Glodene Kappelman of Kansas City and Thelma Kappelman of Des Moines, Iowa; one niece, Carol Kappelman Yoss of Kansas City; three nephews, Ellis Kappelman of Ridgecrest, Calif., Donald Kappelman of Sisters, Ore., and Lawrence Kappelman of Kansas City; and many friends, including Faye Arnold of Marshall.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by one stepson, Larry Robb, and two brothers.
