C. Warren Sherrell Jr., 52, of Houstonia, formerly of Kansas City, Kan., died Monday, Dec. 20, 2004, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 23, at Calvary Baptist Church in Marshall. Rev. Steve Raglin will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial with military rites will be in Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville. Memorials are suggested to the family's choice in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall.
Born Nov. 25, 1952, in Kansas City, Kan., he was the son of Clarence Warren Sherrell Sr., who survives of Houstonia, and the late Lois Ann Whitesell Sherrell. He had lived in Saline County the last three years, moving from the state of Washington. He was a graduate of Argentine High School in Kansas City, Kan., and was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Marshall.
Additional survivors include three sons, Clarence Warren Sherrell III of Overland Park, Kan., Jonathan Henry Sherrell of Shoreline, Wash., and Marshall Jerome Sherrell of Houstonia; one daughter, Jaime Elizabeth Hull of St. Peters, two sisters, Lois Ann Higgins of Kansas City, Kan., and Colleen Dunbar of Baldwin, Kan.; five brothers, Mark Sherrell of Rockford, Ill., Daniel Sherrell of Kansas City, Kan., David Sherrell of Overland Park, Gary Sherrell of Houstonia and Stephen Sherrell of Shawnee, Kan.; one grandson; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by one daughter in infancy.
