Katharine Winkler Dye, 83, of Boonville, died Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2004, at Cooper County Memorial Hospital.
Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, at Zion United Church of Christ in Arrow Rock. Rev. David R. Van Horn and Rev. Wayne Purvis will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 17, at Davis Funeral Chapel in Booneville, and from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Saturday at the church. Friends may call from noon until 6 p.m. on Friday. Memorials are suggested to the Zion United Church of Christ in Arrow Rock.
Born Oct. 30, 1921, south of Arrow Rock, she was the daughter of the late John Henry and Kate Janneck Heuman. In May 1963, she married Arthur Winkler, who preceded her in death in 1993. In June 1998, she married Q.P. Dye, who survives of the home. She was a lifelong member of Zion Church of Christ in Arrow Rock, where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years. She was a member of Zion's women's guild, the Arrow Rock Cemetery Association and was a member of Cooper County Hospital Auxiliary.
Additional survivors include two stepdaughters, Alice Schuster of Boonville and Kathryn Jones of Marshall; one stepson, David Hill of St. Louis; seven stepgrandchildren; 12 stepgreat-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one niece and one nephew.
In addition to her first husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Carl Heuman, Paul Heuman and Leon Heuman.
