Clarence J. Averbeck, 80, of Sedalia, died Thursday, July 29, 2004, at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
Private family graveside services were held Friday, Dec. 3, at Slater City Cemetery. Rev. Mike Penn officiated. Arrangements were under the direction of Weiker Funeral Home in Slater.
Born Dec. 24, 1923, in Slater, he was the son of the late Guy and Clara Kleecamp Averbeck. He had lived in Sedalia for a number of years and worked at Fillicetti Laundry.
Survivors include five sons, Thomas D. Averbeck, Clarence D. Averbeck, James E. Averbeck and Larry Averbeck, all of Sedalia, and Virgil Averbeck of Owatonna, Minn.; two daughters, Ruth Louks of Owatonna and Elizabeth Butler of Climax Springs; 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
