Howard F. Brawley, 80, of Marshall, died Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.
Cremation. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. William W. Harlow will officiate. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to the family's choice.
Born April 19, 1924, in Pocahontas, Ark., he was the son of the late William Frank Brawley and Lydia Mac VanWinkle Brawley. On Feb. 13, 1972, in Miami, Okla., he married Lena Mae Brown, who preceded him in death Dec. 23, 1999. He had lived in Marshall since 1997, moving from Licking and Hallsville. He was a retired truck driver. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, serving in the South Pacific and North Atlantic.
Survivors include one stepdaughter, Ralphetta Rush of Marshall; two sisters, Melba Olsen of Redmond, Ore., and Carrie Baker of Perryville; 13 stepgrandchildren; three stepgreat-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
