Leona Tieman White, 88, of Marshall, formerly of Blackburn, died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004, at The Living Center in Marshall.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ in Blackburn. Rev. Glenn A. Nowack will officiate. Kathryn Dryer, organist, will provide music. Pallbearers will be Tom Bickham, Tim Bickham, Mike Bickham, Todd Bickham, Barrett Sydnor, Craig Jensen, Jeremy Jenson and Andy Phillips. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Camp. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7, at Hoefer Funeral Home in Higginsville. Burial will be in Blackburn Cemetery in Blackburn. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association.
Born Sept. 14, 1916, in Kansas City, she was the daughter of the late Arthur J. Tieman and Anna Schlue Tieman. On Dec. 12, 1946, she married Leo Meredith White, who survives of Blackburn. She worked as a postal clerk at the Blackburn post office for 22 years, retiring in 1977. She lived most of her life in Blackburn. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ.
Additional survivors include one son, Stuart White of Higginsville; and two grandchildren.
