Clyde William Eaks, 71, of Overland Park, Kan., died Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2004 at his home.
Cremation. A celebration of life ceremony will be held at 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 6, at Porter Funeral Home, 8535 Monrovia, Lenexa, KS. The family will receive friends following the service. Arrangements are through the Cremation Society of Kansas and Missouri, 8837 Roe Ave., Prairie Village, KS, 66207.
Born Nov. 25, 1933, in House, N.M., he was the son of the late Alfred and Dora Eaks. He married George Ann Eaks, who survives of the home. He graduated from Washburn University with a bachelor of arts degree in math, and completed post-graduate work at St. Louis University. He taught math at Wyandotte High School and later was a certified HVAC technician for JC Nichols. He served in the U.S. Air Force. His hobbies included reading, fishing and gardening.
Additional survivors include one daughter, Leisa Eaks of Overland Park, Kan.; one son, Mark Eaks of Columbia; one sister, Joyce Green and husband James of Lone Jack; one grandson, Peyton Eaks of Overland Park; two nephews, Blake Green and Brad Green; and one niece, Debbie Phipps.
