James G. "Bud" Lemmons, 81, of Hemet, Calif., died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2004, at his home.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 6, 2004, at Fairview Cemetery in Sweet Springs. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, with Masonic services at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Sweet Springs. Memorials are suggested to Barbee Lodge No. 217 A.F. & A.M. in Sweet Springs or the charity of the donor's choice.
Born July 30, 1923, in Blackburn, he was the son of the late Henry Clay Lemmons and Lorene E. Cook Lemmons. On July 29, 1950, he married Phyllis M. Swenson, who preceded him in death Nov. 24, 1995. He had lived in Sweet Springs for 19 years, moving from Blackburn, and had lived in Grandview as well as Torrance, Calif., and San Jacinto, Calif., before moving to Hemet. He was a graduate of Sweet Springs High School and was a retired manufacturing engineer. He was a Methodist and a member of Masonic Lodge No. 618 in Grandview.
Survivors include one aunt, Henrietta Strader of Concordia; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one brother, J.C. Lemmons.
