Ruth Nolting, 72, of rural Houstonia, died Sunday, Nov. 28, 2004, at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1, at Cambell-Lewis Chapel in Sweet Springs. Rev. Robert Shepard will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Sweet Springs. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Sweet Springs. Memorials are suggested to Marshall Church of the Nazarene or charity of donor's choice.
Born March 15, 1932, in Iberia, she was the daughter of the late Charles Wesley Sooter and Rosie Hicks Sooter. On Feb. 3, 1962, she married Virgil Nolting, who survives of the home. She was a graduate of Iberia High School, a member of Marshall Church of the Nazarene in Marshall and had lived in the Houstonia area the last 35 years. She had worked at Community Hospital in Sweet Springs, Marshall State School and Hospital and did income taxes from her home.
Additional survivors include one brother, Waid Sooter of San Diego, Calif.; one niece and one nephew.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
