Mildred Jones Rosen, 82, of Slater, formerly of Desloge, died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2004, at her home.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19, at C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel in Desloge. Rev. Jim Muse officiated. Burial was in Parkview Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to First Church of God in Desolage.
Born April 19, 1922, in Reynolds County, she was the daughter of the late James E. Turner and Cynthia Hart Turner. She married Medford Carl Jones, who preceded her in death, and Irving Rosen, who preceded her in death. She was a member of First Church of God of Desolage.
Survivors include five sons, Medford "Junebug" Jones of Bonne Terre, Melvin Jones of Columbia, South America, James Jones of Slater, William Jones of Arnold, and Howard Jones of Pevely; two daughters, Verla Burdette of Hollywood, Md., and Sheila Jamirson of Pevely; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Rosetta Pickering and Wanda Hasty; three brothers, Howard Turner, Alfred Turner and Lonnie Turner; one sister, Sarah Ogle; five grandsons; one granddaughter; and one great-grandson.
