Mary J. Reifsteck, 78, of Mt. Leonard, died Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2004, at St. Luke's Hospital in Kansas City.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Rev. Ed Champion will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to American Heart Association or Crohn's Research Foundation.
Born May 1, 1926, in Turner, Kan., she was the daughter of the late Romie Evans and Daisy G. Rafter Evans. On May 3, 1951, she married George A. Reifsteck, who survives of the home. She had lived in Mt. Leondard the last 19 years. She was a secretary for Travelers Insurance in Kansas City and a homemaker. She was a graduate of Argentine High School and a member of Waverly Christian Church in Waverly.
Additional survivors include two sons, Dwain A. Reifsteck and wife Mary K. of Blue Springs and John L. Reifsteck of North Kansas City; two sisters, Dorothy Stevenson of Edwardsville, Kan., and Angela Schletzbaum of Shawnee, Kan.; two grandchildren, Trent L. Reifsteck and wife Carrie, and Meka K. Reifsteck; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
