Corinne F. Cott, 87, of Marshall, formerly of Gilliam, died Friday, Nov. 12, 2004, at Big Bend Retreat in Slater.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 15, at Campbell-Lewis Chapel in Marshall. Visitation will be from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 14, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will be in Gilliam Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Big Bend Retreat or Habitat for Humanity of Saline County.
Born Aug. 9, 1917, in Malta Bend, she was the daughter of the late William Baker and Esther Plattner Baker. On Nov. 14, 1940, in Springfield, she married Jess Cott, who preceded her in death. She had lived in Gilliam and ran Cott's General Merchandise with her husband until his retirement. She then was the administrator of Big Bend Retreat in Slater, and later the administrator of Blosser Home for Women. She was a member of the Methodist church in Gilliam and later the First United Methodist Church in Marshall.
Survivors include two sons, Donald Wayne Cott of Casper, Wyo., and David Cott of Marshall; one stepson, Gene Cott of Gilliam; one sister, Doris Ann Boillot of Marshall; and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Eleanor Baker and Wilma Wilson.
