Garnette Lucille LaBoube, 86, of Blackwater, died Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004, at Cooper County Memorial Hospital in Boonville.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2004, at Peninsula Cemetery in Blackwater. Arrangements are under the direction of William Wood Funeral Home in Boonville. Memorials are suggested to the Blackwater-Lamine Senior Center in the care of William Wood Funeral Home, 517 Fourth St., Boonville.
Born Aug. 1, 1918, in San Diego, Calif., she was the daughter of the late Harry and Clara Bach Gensler. On Dec. 8, 1938, in Fayette, she married William E. LaBoube, who preceded her in death in 1990. She graduated from Blackwater High School and was a member of the Church of Christ in Blackwater. She had lived in Blackwater for over 60 years.
Survivors include two sons, Gary LaBoube of Blackwater and Barry LaBoube of St. Louis; two daughters, Willene Morris of Columbia and Tonia Bartel of Nelson; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one grandson.
