Ethel L. Green, 89, of Springfield, Ill., formerly of Marshall, died Sunday, Oct. 31, 2004, at Lewis Memorial Christian Village in Springfield.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5, at Sweeney-Reser-Wills Funeral Home in Marshall. Rev. Russ Johnson will officiate. Organist Ramona Bullington will play "In the Garden" and "The Old Rugged Cross." Pallbearers will be Zach Green, Joe Segobiano, Rick Segobiano and Tony Segobiano. Visitation will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Arrow Rock Cemetery.
Born Sept. 27, 1915, in Boonville, she was the daughter of the late Obie Morris and Stella Cornine Morris. On July 28, 1934, in Sedalia, she married Willard L. Green, who preceded her in death Dec. 7, 1980. She was a resident of Marshall and Pilot Grove for several years before moving to the state of Illinois. She was a resident of the Springfield, Ill., area for most of her life.
Survivors include two sons, Robert G. Green of Grand Prairie, Texas, and William E. Green of Sherman, Ill.; one daughter, Betty Justice of Springfield, Ill.; one sister, Helen Treadway of Wood River, Ill.; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son and two brothers.
