Dorothy L. Vanderpool, 78, of Marshall, died Monday, Nov. 1, 2004, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 4, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Rev. Steve Raglin will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will be in Ridge Park Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to Calvary Baptist Church.
Born May 21, 1926, in Paragould, Ark., she was the daughter of the late Joseph Frank Pressley and Artillia Partain Pressley. On Nov. 6, 1942, in Sedalia, she married Ralph J. Vanderpool, who survives. She had lived in Marshall since 1957, and had also lived in Sedalia. She was co-owner/operator of Vanderpool's Residential Care and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Marshall.
Additional survivors include one daughter, Pat Elliott of Marshall; one son, Jack Vanderpool of rural Marshall; one brother, Joseph Ray Pressley of Menlo Park, Calif.; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
