Della W. Hemme, 84, of Sweet Springs, died Sunday, Oct. 24, 2004, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sweet Springs. Rev. Douglas A. Dubisar will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Sweet Springs. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Sweet Springs. Memorials are suggested to Immanuel Lutheran Church or Lutheran Children's and Family Services.
Born Sept. 23, 1920, in Sweet Springs, she was the daughter of the late Martin Weber and Laura Lovercamp Weber. On Dec. 11, 1938, she married Marvin L. Hemme, who preceded her in death Jan. 1, 1998. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Sweet Springs and had lived in Sweet Springs her entire life. She worked as a nurse's aide at International Shoe Company and Rival Manufacturing.
Survivors include one son, Dennis G. Hemme of Sedalia; one daughter, Debra Hughson of Sweet Springs; one sister, Alice Gerken of Forsyth; one brother, Ledrue Weber of Marshall; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Wayne Morris Hemme; one brother and one sister.
