Edna Bakert Preuit, 92, of Canal Fulton, Ohio, formerly of Marshall, died Monday, Oct. 18, 2004, at Rose Lane Health Center in Massilion, Ohio.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to First Christian Church in Marshall.
Born Oct. 6, 1912, in Saline County, she was the daughter of the late Barnett Bakert and Virginia Pauley Bakert. On Jan. 12, 1929, she married Elmer Preuit who preceded her in death March 25, 1991. She had lived most of her life in Marshall, living in Ohio the last 13 years. She retired from Kraft Foods after 27 years where she was a department supervisor. She was a long time member of First Christian Church in Marshall.
Survivors include one son, Gerald E. Preuit of Canal Fulton; two granddaughters; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Thomas Bakert, John Bakert, James Bakert and Arthur Bakert; and three sisters, Mollie Peterman, Marie Gregory and Catherine Pannell.
