Harry K. "Dutch" McCoy, 94, of Marshall Junction, died Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2004, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, Ark.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29, at Fairview Cemetery in Sweet Springs. Rev. Eugene McCoy will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:30 until 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 28, at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Sweet Springs. Memorials are suggested to New Salem Baptist Church or the charity of the donor's choice.
Born May 17, 1910, in Versailles, he was the son of the late George W. McCoy and Katherine McLaughlin McCoy. On Feb. 25, 1937, he married Fern E. Schrankler, who survives. He had lived in the Marshall Junction area for many years and was retired from Lockheed Aircraft. He attended New Salem Baptist Church in Marshall Junction.
Additional survivors include two sons, Eugene McCoy of Martinez, Calif., and Herbert McCoy of Queen Creek, Ariz.; two daughters, Beverly Zambon of Monroe, N.H., and Dianna Sorce of North Little Rock, Ark.; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, three sisters and one granddaughter.
