Sherry Coldiron, 65, of Dawn, died Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2004, in Caldwell County from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 17, at Lindley Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16, at the funeral home. Friends may call from 8 until 9 p.m. Thursday and from 8 until 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Blue Mound Cemetery in Dawn. Born Aug. 4, 1939, in Chillicothe, she was the daughter of the late Herbert Leroy and Ethel Merritt Williams Riddle. On March 30, 1957, in Chillicothe, she married Melvin Coldiron, who survives of the home. She lived all of her life in the Livingston County and Carroll County areas. She was a member of Enon Baptist Church in Dawn, and was a former 4-H leader, Sunday school teacher, R.A. Leader, G.A. Leader, and Vacation Bible School teacher at Enon Baptist Church.
Additional survivors include two sons, Melvin David Coldiron Jr. of Dawn and Anthony Ray Coldiron of Dawn; three daughters, Corena Rose Coldiron Spencer of Dawn, Joan Ann Coldiron Pointer of Marshall, and Joyce Sue Coldiron of Bogard; four brothers, Vernon Riddle of Ludlow, Lester Riddle of Laredo, Johnie "Rick" Riddle of Chillicothe and Charles "Rusty" Riddle of Chillicothe; five sisters, Charlotte Sturgeon of Columbia, Vickie Riddle of Chillicothe, Teresa Silkwood of Dawn, Juliana Riddle of Dawn and Lisa Barron of Ludlow; 12 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and nephews and several great-great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Linda L. Riddle, and one brother, Terry Joe Riddle.
