Jack Lynn Willig, 47, of Harrisonville, died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2004, in Harrisonville.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, at First Baptist Church in Harrisonville. Pastor Darrin Widner and Paul Fishell officiated. Music included "Life By the Drop," "My Way" and "I Can Only Imagine" performed by Paul and Jalaine Fishell. Pallbearers were Joseph Fulbright, Philip Haskins Jr., Eddie Willig, Dan Willig, Doug Willig and Rick Willig. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery in Harrisonville. Memorials are suggested to the daughter's educational fund.
Born Sept. 21, 1956, in Independence, he was the son of Clarence Edward Willig and Phyllis Ann Perkins Kimzey, both of Odessa. On May 1, 1993, in Independence, he married Lisa Marie Haskins, who survives of the home. He was a partner in Knob Town Cycles in Kansas City as a motorcycle service technician since March 2004. He was formerly employed at the University of Missouri-Kansas City security department and was a carpenter. He attended Cross Roads Assembly of God Church in Harrisonville and was a member of First Baptist Church in Bates City. He was a member of America Motorcycle Association. He had lived in Independence before moving to Harrisonville in 1998.
Additional survivors include two daughters, Jacquelyn Renee Willig of the home and Jesika Marie Standley of Independence; four brothers, Rick Willig of Odessa, Dan Willig of Odessa, Doug Willig of Jefferson City and Eddie Willig of Blue Springs; one sister, Brenda Kay Fulbright of Odessa; maternal grandmother Aileen Perkins of Marshall; and other relatives and many friends.
